Positive: We were in town for the Jon Bellion concert and this was a perfect place to stay for it! There were snacks and a full kitchen. We appreciated the private entrance and the extra bathroom amenities! It was clean and smelled amazing and we had plenty of privacy. The extra homie comforts like the phone chargers and a fan for the bedroom made our stay! This hidden gem located near the subway that goes right to the city center is well worth the stay. Could not have been happier with our stay.

Negative: Our only complaint was you could hear people walking around upstairs but it was only a little bit. I have nothing bad to say about the property.

Summary: Homie hidden gem made our trip even better than we could have imagined!

Positive: Location is very close to my daughter’s college. Price is fair and makes it affordable to visit her. Snacks are a nice touch (she enjoyed that). Decor is fun. Sheets, towels and blankets were crisp and clean.

Negative: I am very sensitive to perfumes and air fresheners so I needed to unplug all the glade plugins and try to air it out so I could sleep. Shower could be better but I appreciate the array of products for use.

Positive: Everything was as pictured. Adorable small apt in the half basement of a house. Price was a great value. There was bottled water, all kinds of snacks which my college student gorged on, cookies, candy, chips, nuts etc. Beautifully decorated. Paper plates provided so we didn’t have so wash dishes. Full size range if you want to cook but didn’t really see tons of pots and pans. Wasn’t planning to cook so didn’t throughly investigate. 1 mile to a parking garage where we were right at the train station to go straight into Manhattan. All day parking was about $25. There was a great pizza place a few streets over from the house as well a few other places including a market. Lock box on the door made entry easy. Floors were hard wood with rugs and I really liked that over carpet. You could see they were clean. The neighborhood felt safe. The water was a street or so away. It looked like you could go to the end and walk along it. Overall for what we paid it was a great value. While the noise above bothered us at times we weren’t there most of the days. I’ve been in hotel where I could hear noise and doors slamming late at night so it was better than that. Most noise ended by 8-9 pm and didn’t start early.

Negative: I didn’t realize it was a basement apt with at least 1 child running around above us. Besides the running child we could hear walking, talking, and other noises. It wasn’t unbearable noise just noise we’re not accustomed to. Beds were memory foam type mattress somewhat comfortable yet kinda firm. No top sheets just a fuzzy blanket. I would recommend owner put top sheets on beds. Entrance is at the back of the house and messy yard and patio didn’t give a good immediate vibe. We originally went to the front door and saw no lockbox. No where did it say entrance was down the driveway at the end of the house by the back corner. Parking was free but always had to park about 10 houses down. Overall the place was very clean except in the bathroom there is mold around the bottom of the shower and the shower door didn’t close all the way. No vent in bathroom so it steamed up when showering. Noticed a few fruit flies over our stay in the bathroom. There were air fresheners everywhere and a big dehumidifier that we weren’t sure how to operate. I’m assuming it gets musty because it is a basement, one window above the table high up, then the bedroom I believe is total underground. It didn’t smell musty and there wasn’t an over whelming smell from the air fresheners so I believe they’re doing a decent job. The cleaner had left a load of clothes in the dryer and washer. I turned the dryer on and when the cycle ended the clothes were still wet. The lint tray was so full of lint it was obviously not cleaned out in a while. The load was so full of a heavy bedspread and tons of towels I separated it into 3 loads and dried them. Fortunately the dryer worked great after cleaning out the lint tray. I did make the owner aware and she was going to talk to the cleaner who is supposed to wash, dry and fold the clothes.

Summary: It was a great value and a clean place to sleep for a few nights. I would possibly stay here again depending on price c

Positive: This was a great location and a great stay. It's a cute apartment, I will note that it is a basement apartment so you do have to deal with neighbors above you, which wasn't mentioned in the original listing, but the neighbors were nice. It has AC and fans, but does still get a little warm, but it wasn't unbearable. The owner has snacks and drinks waiting for you when you get there, towels, utensils, and a lot of options in the bathroom like body wash and perfumes. The printer and washer/dryer were great too. This place was a short walk to the water where the boats are and it was a very pretty view from there, there were bus stops near by as well. This place is in a nice neighbor and I didn't feel worried being there. It looks just like the pictures! It was great for me and my daughter and I would stay here again!

Negative: The bathroom was pretty cramped as it is a small space, it's a width problem, but it was still manageable. It has a full kitchen which is nice, but it is small so using the oven or the stove might make it really warm. There is a small fruit fly problem, there were quite a few in the bathroom. Otherwise this place really is a great little spot for a vacation!

Positive: The property was very clean and comfortable! There was plenty of space to cook and relax. We loved the fully functional kitchen and the spacious bedroom. The property is also only a twenty minute walk to the nearest subway station, which takes you straight into the city! They also provide snacks, beverages, and extra toiletries if needed! There was a washer and dryer as well.

Negative: Please note that the parking is not private! However, it was easy to find street parking although it was quite busy. The property owner also requested we turn the air conditioner off when leaving the property, which often resulted in having a hot room for a bit.

Summary: Extremely comfortable, convient, and clean stay!!
